Introducing a four-week guided exploration of Black Girls Must Die Exhausted for high-achieving Black women who are exhausted and tired of performing for everyone around them.

Finding Rest Workshop
$300.00

Tired of carrying the weight of being "the strong one"? Designed specifically for high-achieving Black women and professionals, this supportive group workshop provides a culturally responsive space to unpack perfectionism, regulate your nervous system, and reclaim your time. Move past burnout, set guilt-free boundaries, and learn practical strategies to cultivate rest as a daily practice.

"You have to be twice as good to get half as much."

If you are a Black woman navigating corporate, healthcare, legal, or high-achieving spaces, you may have found yourself internalizing this messaging. You learned early on that society rarely allows you to just be "good enough". To secure your seat at the table, protect your peace, or earn basic respect, you felt you had to perform above and beyond. On the outside, you look like the ultimate success story. You have the degrees, the titles, and the reputation of being the one who always "handles things." But on the inside, you are running on fumes. Your body is starting to show signs that this may not actually be sustainable.

In Jayne Allen’s novel Black Girls Must Die Exhausted, the main character is going through something very similar. She views herself as someone who has it all under control, but life starts to throw a curveball with work drama, health concerns, and pressures from family to settle down and build a family. If Tabitha’s story sounds familiar, you might be in the right place.

Moving Beyond the Armor: What We’ll Do Together

In this 4-week workshop, we will be exploring how the pressure to perform has started to impact you in your life. We will start to identify what rest looks and feels like for you and develop strategies for creating a more fulfilled, sustainable life. Using Black Girls Must Die Exhausted as our mirror, we focus on four core pillars:

1. Listening to the Body's Signals: Calming the nervous system, identifying somatic stress patterns, and honoring what your body actually needs.

2. Auditing What’s Yours to Carry: Differentiating between responsibilities you consciously chose and the cultural, corporate, or familial burdens handed to you simply because you are "the strong one".

3. Practicing the "Small No": Developing concrete, guilt-free boundary scripts to protect your energy at work and at home.

4. Reclaiming Your Softness: Creating space where your soul can slouch; remembering that you exist outside of your utility and productivity to other people.
