Evidence-based Psychotherapy Offerings
I am a doctoral-level psychologist trained in a number of evidence based psychotherapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Skills Training in Affective & Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I utilize an integrated approach, and work to tailor my interventions to the client's specific needs.
An emphasis on cultural competence
Every client presents for therapy with a unique set of circumstances. Often, clients have felt their diverse backgrounds have been overlooked societally and in their search for care. I have worked a great deal with the BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities, as well as those with chronic health concerns. My goal as a clinician is to recognize and understand how a client’s lived experience plays a role in their mental health functioning.
